Daffodils has always believed that play is the most important part of growing up, according to science: Playing indoor games regularly helps children improve their physical fitness. This is because these activities incorporate a myriad of body movements. Researchers also believe that children who engage in indoor physical activities more develop fast-twitch muscles, which ultimately improves their reflexes.

We have many opportunities for indoor games, from classroom settings that include puzzles, blocks, kitchen area, doll house set up, road play and role play areas.

Daffodils has a full-fledged play area within premises it includes-slides, children’s gym, swings, huge ball pit, mini basketball station and soft play mat to help children have full on fun without worrying of any harmful hazards.

Daffodils Nursery has believed that the children are little explorers and they learn more when they get more opportunities to explore their surroundings, Hence, we take the children to field trips on regular basis we cover places that are more exciting and age appropriate for learning such as farm, aquarium, market, zoo and gardens. These places bring out more opportunities for kids to get along with their friends and to express their learning in words.

We follow all the safety measures during field trips, as we know that the children are too young and require more attention and supervision of adults. We follow 3:1 ratio that is 3 students with one Teacher and a nanny and this way Teacher is able to keep have better supervision on children and also explain about the learning to the children in detail.

Sport has many benefits for kids. It improves physical fitness, teaches important life skills and increases the chances they will become active adults. Daffodils Nursery is delighted to share that we conduct the annual sports day each year , with exciting games and races customised as per the children’s ability and capability to allow children to learn to try and win every race. We also believe participation is as good as winning, hence each child gets winning trophy for participation to encourage children to take part in physical activities.

Daffodils Nursery follows, EYFS and understands the importance of expressive art and design and hence, we provide children with several opportunities to showcase their artistic inner self and bring out the creativity they have and help them excel in the area of art and craft.

We believe that, art and crafts help young children explore and express their emotions, share how they relate to their family and friends, talk about their difficulties, their future dreams and aspirations, even if they have not yet developed a full vocabulary to do so. It also develops courage and a healthy self-esteem.

Daffodils Nursery provides children platform to showcase their inbuilt talent of painting through our expressive art and design program –The little Picasso, this is club formed for children who want to do excel in painting , we have professional art teachers that help children develop their painting skills with Marble painting, shaving cream painting, fruit print painting, wheel and roller painting, water color painting, spin painting and spray painting.

Note: We use paints that are non-toxic and safe for toddlers.

Daffodils Nursery has a guest music teacher who visits the nursery every week to help children to learn the simple music notes and sing songs with rhythm. Nursery has all the musical instruments for children to explore. The children also learn to use musical instruments such as piano, drums, guitar and xylophones.

As we all know, children learn and develop new skills, their self-esteem increases. Just like in school, play, and the rest of their lives, dancing and creative movement gives young children new skills to learn and master. This progress keeps them motivated and interested, leading to better tenacity later in life, with reference to this aspect the nursery provides platform for children to groove and dance to the tunes of music with different styles of dancing such as ballet dance, jazz dance, hip-hop dance, tap dance and freestyle dancing.

Daffodils nursery lays emphasis on the importance of physical development at all times. Physical development includes both growth and the ability to use muscles and body parts for particular skills. Both gross (large muscle movements) and fine (small movements) motor skills contribute to physical development, and children often learn a set of skills by a certain age.

We inculcate different activities in our plans regularly and alter them as per the growing need, to help children in physical development this includes, warm up exercise that is done on everyday basis, Aerobics, YOGA, games, music and dance and several fine motor and gross motor activities to help children enhance their fine motor and gross motor skills.
